Computer Engineering Curriculum

Computer Engineering (CPE) is an exciting new field which spans topics in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Students learn and practice the design and analysis of computer systems, including both hardware and software aspects and their integration. The students who fulfill these requirements earn a degree in Computer Engineering.

The primary objective of the undergraduate CPE program is to provide a solid education in the fundamentals of both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science so that graduates who satisfy the requirements of the CPE program are prepared either to enter into the practice of the profession or to continue advanced education. Additional information can be found in the Computer Engineering Undergraduate Handbook and on www.cpe.virginia.edu.
