Background:

Steven D. Lunny is currently the Director of System Engineering for the Northrop Grumman Space Technology (NGST) Sector. In this role, Mr. Lunny is responsible for the leadership of this 1200 person organization and the development and implementation of NGST’s overall system engineering strategy, including the implementation, improvement and control of system engineering processes across all Space Technology programs and business and technology development initiatives. Mr. Lunny also oversees the growth and development of system engineers across the sector as well as the sector system engineering staffing strategy. Mr. Lunny has 24 years of system engineering experience spanning payloads to mission levels throughout all phases of the system development cycle. Previously, Mr. Lunny was the Deputy Program Manager for the STSS AT program and as served in a variety of System Engineering functional management and System Engineering project management responsibilities throughout his tenure at NGST. Mr. Lunny received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
